Engineered Flooring

 

Engineered wood flooring is available in all the same colour options as its solid timber cousins but has the advantage of extra strength and stability because of the way it’s made.

Made from three or more layers of hardwood or ply with a layer of hardwood on its surface it will provide greater stability in areas of high heat and moisture - like bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, over under-floor heating or in new properties which have a concrete slab construction as they often haven’t had time to dry out sufficiently.

Because of the extra stability engineered boards can be made longer and wider without incurring the problems of a sold timber and from a fitting point of view, Engineered boards are a lot more versatile. They can be floated, nailed or bonded depending on budget, house conditions and ultimately - your prferences.
